After receiving your request, you'll receive a phone call from us during our normal business hours to set up a time to meet, tour the center, and answer any questions you may have!

After your consultation, we'll set up your first appointment! We can't wait to meet you!

The entire way that midwives look at birth is very different from a hospital perspective.

In a hospital, policies are created to manage "emergencies" and birth is treated like a sickness, thus the "no eating or drinking rule", backless gowns, and being bed-bound. The choices women have are limited and the interventions are extensive.

While we also have policies and procedures in place for the safety of our clients, evidence shows that for a healthy and low-risk mom, eating, drinking, and moving during labor provides positive outcomes.

The Midwifery Model of care is the opposite of hospital care and encourages eating, drinking, and moving around. The Addice provides care to only low-risk women with healthy babies. We believe birth is normal and we don't want to over-complicate it.

We do routine assessments of you and your baby's health and are consistently assessing risks at each appointment.

When we have a healthy mom and baby, we do what we can to create a safe experience for both of you without interventions.

We encourage drinking and eating.....You would never run a marathon without fueling your body with nourishment!

Our clients labor and birth in a calm and peaceful environment surrounded by safe providers who offer encouragement, education, and personalized midwifery care. We encourage moms to create a comfortable space and make their birth suite their own.

You'll have the opportunity to choose your birth suite at your 36 week birth plan visit, if you're choosing an in-center birth (these are obviously on a first come basis if multiple moms are in labor at once).

Lots of our moms like stringing fairy lights, clipping words of affirmation with clothes pins around the room, bringing a favorite blanket, diffusing a specific essential oil, and preparing a playlist for labor. After the birth, we continue to support the whole family with attention on successful breastfeeding, bonding, and confidence as you enter the next season with your new addition.

We want your partner to be as involved as they feel comfortable being, whether it's supporting you during labor and/or catching your baby! Learning how to provide hip squeezes, making sure mom is staying hydrated, being an emotional support system, as well as staying skin to skin with your new baby while mom showers, are all important roles of your partner.

We believe that when we can assist in helping partners feel confident and supportive during pregnancy and birth, they are much more likely to be involved and hands-on earlier in their baby’s life.

We offer Childbirth Education classes that will make mom feel confident in out of hospital birth and her partner confident in supporting her. We also have in-house feeding support that offers guidance to the entire family in feeding baby once baby arrives!

You are welcome to labor AND deliver in one of our beautiful tubs! We lovingly call water birth the "midwives epidural" because of the effective pain relief that it provides. We offer two tub options, a freestanding porcelain tub, or a blue inflatable tub. Our dopplers are waterproof, so we can continue monitoring your baby while you're in the tub.

The warm water combined with buoyancy, and your body’s instinctive tendency to relax in a tub make water birth such a great resource for managing natural labor.

We have free-standing tubs as well as showers with handheld sprayers in all of our birth suites and a majority of mothers who choose The Addice labor and/or deliver in the water.

Your birth story will be one of the most cherished experiences you'll ever experience. The Addice genuinely holds close that your experiences prenatally as well as postpartum will have a heartfelt impact on you forever.

Throughout pregnancy you will experience an array of sentiments. When the day of your birth finally arrives, and your newborn takes their first breaths as you snuggle her to your chest for the very first time, you’ll have a new and generous rush of emotions.
